Meet the Team

Max Schmitz, Co-Founder of After Moon Productions
I’m a filmmaker from Oakland currently based in San Francisco.
I studied Media Arts & Culture and English at Occidental College before earning my BA in Film & Television Production from USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Over the past several years, I’ve worked across commercial and narrative productions in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles, producing and directing a range of independent projects, including the feature film Let's Meet Halfway, which I co-directed with Dana Dveris.
I’m deeply inspired by filmmakers like Wong Kar-wai and Andrei Tarkovsky, and I strive to bring that same sense of emotional storytelling and visual beauty into all of my work, from narrative films to commercials and music videos.

Dana Dveris, Co-Founder of After Moon Productions
My love for filmmaking started young, first taking photos with my mom’s camera, then spending weekends shooting homemade music videos in my backyard with my best friend. I’ve always seen the world through a camera lens and been drawn to the power of visual storytelling to capture emotion and connection.
I studied Media Arts & Culture with a specialization in Film Production at Occidental College, where I made my debut feature film, Let's Meet Halfway, alongside Max Schmitz. The film premiered at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature.
Today, I create cinematic, story-driven content through After Moon Productions, helping brands, businesses, and creatives bring their stories to life through compelling visuals and authentic storytelling.
