Meet the Team

​

Dana Dveris is a Writer/Director/Producer and Co-Founder of After Moon Productions LLC, a full service production company based out of Los Angeles and San Francisco specializing in narrative film, commercials, music videos, and photography.

 

She is passionate about women's representation on screen and behind the camera. Dana’s directorial debut feature film, “Let’s Meet Halfway," an LGBTQ+ story with a majority female identifying cast and crew, won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Film at the 25th San Francisco Independent Film Festival. The film screened at festivals including Woods Hole Film Festival and City of Angels Women's Film Festival. "Let's Meet Halfway" is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu, & YouTube Movies. 

 

Dana received a BA in Media Arts and Culture with a concentration in film production from Occidental College. Her senior thesis film, “At Last Deserted” was awarded the 2022 Strand Prize for innovation and excellence in media production and screened at the 18th Santa Cruz Film Festival.

 

In addition, Dana has a diverse array of creative content and film industry experience. She currently works at SIE Society as Head of Community Engagement. Her previous work experience includes working as Social Media Content Creator/Manager for luxury shoe brand Tamara Mellon and Intern at Kodak Motion Picture Entertainment.

Max Schmitz
 

Max Schmitz grew up in Oakland and currently lives in Los Angeles. Max started his college career at Occidental College where he studied Media Arts and Culture and English, after two years he transferred to the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts where he graduated with a BA in Film and Television Production. Max has 5+ years of industry experience working on commercial and narrative feature film sets in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. Max has produced and directed a number of independent projects including independent feature film Let's Meet Halfway which he co-produced and directed with Dana Dveris.

Max's became obsessed with classic and foreign cinema, particularly inspired by the films of  Wong Kar-Wai and Andrei Tarkovsky. In his own personal work he sought to embody the ideals of humanism and visual beauty to represent complex emotional journey's, found in many of his favorite international films. Max aspires to bring these same ideals to all aspects of his work, not only in narrative films but in music videos and commercials as well.
